Welcome to Oriental Orchids! Founded by orchid enthusiast and experienced gardener Tony Hsu in 1997, Oriental Orchids Ltd. has undergone several phases of changes over the past years. Tony started out with two greenhouses, looking forward to caring his private orchid collection after he retired from building trades. After a year of successful and unsuccessful trials, Tony decided to melt his passion for orchids with his interest in business. Hence, turning himself from a hobbyist to become a full time commercial grower. In order to make the operation functional for commercial purposes, Tony saw the need for an expansion. The second phase of the operation was completed in 1999, followed by another expansion in 2001.

Oriental Orchids Ltd. strives to be the best professional orchid nursery since the day of its establishment. Now the Hsu family runs a state-of-the-art greenhouse operation with more than 60,000 orchid plants, mostly of Phalaenopsis orchid. By working with leading breeders and growers overseas and by insisting on providing the best quality, Oriental Orchids has won several national and international awards. A recent award, 'Award of Quality', granted by The American Orchid Society, is another honour we would like to share with you.
